GTA Online players have — or should be getting — their $500,000 GTA$ in their bank accounts. Now, Rockstar is gearing up to release their Beach Bum update which will be free for all players. In this update, players can look forward to new jobs, new weapons, new vehicles, and new customization options such as surfer attire and shaggy hair.
“The Beach Bum update will bring a slew of new action-paced jobs to GTA Online next week. These include new beach-themed races, Deathmatches, Parachutes, Last Team Standings, Survivals as well as Gang Attacks for those who enjoy a good territorial skermish.”
However, it seems that the highly anticipated heists will not be immediately available with this update. Rockstar has asked players to stay tuned “for word on the forthcoming Content Creator, full on cooperative Heists, and GTA Online’s take on Capture the Flag – plus info on some exciting new Story Mode updates as well.”
New vehicles will be included in the Beach Bum update which will be able to “take on the new Beach Bum Races and Vehicle Deathmatches.” These vehicles include the BF Bifta dune buggy, the Canis Kalahari off-road truck, the Bravado Paradise beach camper van, and the Speeder speedboat. All four vehicles will be available at no in-game cost. The land-based vehicles can be found from the southernsanandreassuperautos.com website and the Speeder from docktease.com.
These vehicles will also be included in Story Mode.
There isn’t much of a new selection of weapons in this update with the addition of the SNS Pistol and the Broken Bottle which can be used as a hilarious melee weapon. I’ll probably have way too much fun smacking friends with it.
Both of these weapons will be available for free at any Ammu-Nation location. These weapons will be automatically added into each of your characters’ inventory in Story Mode.
GTA Online characters can achieve a new beach look with customization options which will include items like board shorts, neon surfer attire, wild tribal tattoos, and shaggy hair.
While most people(like me) may be disappointed to learn that this update will not initially include Heists, it is a good sign that Rockstar is finally moving forward with updates. The Beach Bum DLC will be available through an update on November 19th.
