Dragon Age: Inquisition May Feature Kinect Support

More and more info about Dragon Age: Inquisition is beginning to trickle out (release date, please!). Creative Director Mike Laidlaw, while speaking to Xbox: The Official Magazine, explained that the Kinect support for Dragon Age: Inquisition would work similarly to Mass Effect 3. “We’re expecting that Xbox 360 and Xbox One editions will ship with a Kinect-enabled voice command feature, just like Mass Effect 3 did.”

In Mass Effect 3, the Kinect allowed players to shout out commands to Shepard’s party. However, BioWare is also looking at SmartGlass technology for Inquisition as well.

In addition to this news, it was revealed that Inquisition would not feature additional party member DLC. The game will feature nine party members to choose from including the characters already confirmed such as Cassandra, Sera, Solas, Varric, and Iron Bull.

Laidlaw explained the decision, stating, “Because of how deeply enmeshed in the system companion characters are, we can’t just add them on the fly, part of them has to be shipped on the disc. This has led to criticism that we’re forcing people to pay for content they already own.

“It’s not the case, but we’ve decided this time to not go that route. There will be no DLC party members.”
